TOOTH AND CLAW(Book review)

Book Review:


      This week I read "TOOTH AND CLAW(Oxford Bookworms Library)". This book had some short stories and all of them included the word "Tooth and claw". Some stories are strange and little horrible but so interesting for me. The reason why I chose this one is that I didn't read this one. I read many books of OBW, and as for the level one and two of that I read all of them. Therefore I chose this book which is level 3 and still I hadn't read. I thought OBW series is interesting and best for me. There are two reasons. Firstly there are many series which I like, so I can read it with fun. Secondly there are few difficult words. Perhaps it's not good for study but I think it's nice for extensive reading. Usually I study English words with text books or books of words so it doesn't matter whether it's a book for study or not. I'm enjoying these series as a hobby.

     If you also like this(OBW) series, I recommend "TOOTH AND CLAW". If I was 1st grade, I might this book look heavy, but it's not hard for us(2nd grade).

    Especially I like the first story of this book. The names were little complex, but the contents were simple and easy to imagine.

GOODBYE MR HOLLYWOOD

 Book Review:      Today I read GOODBYE MR HOLLYWOOD . Firstly I had thought this book is mystery. However it's not mystery story like Holmes but it contained accidents or questions.        There was a man who is Nick. He is a travel writer and have come Whistler, in Canada for his working. At a cafe in the village he met a pretty lady. He is called Mr. Hollywood from her because Nick likes movies. It's not strange thing but actually the name was beginning of all incidents.       Nick didn't know about the lady, but felt exciting because she was beautiful. After she left the cafe, he finished drinking his coffee and left there. However from the day he was chased from someone. Moreover when Nick was walking in the forest someone tried to kill him with a gun. Nick went to a police, but the officer didn't help him so much. I thought the officer isn't kind and not suit for police men.      To be safe he met the lady again because he has thought she knows something about

'Who, Sir? Me, Sir?'

 Book Review:      Today I finished reading a book of 'Who, Sir? Me, Sir?' This was little long and high level for me, so there are some points that I couldn't understand. However the story was interesting.     There was a teacher who wants his class to have ambition, and to do great things in life. Therefore he enters them for a sporting competition against the rich students of Greycoats School. The team that he has chosen for the competition think the teacher has gone crazy. 'Who, Sir? Me, Sir?' says little boy who is called Hoomey, his eyes round with horror. 'We'll never beat Greycoats,'  the others cry. 'Never in a million years!'      However you don't know what you can do until you try...      If you know the result of the competition, I recommend to read this book.
