Slam Dunk for Mark

This phrase is a Mark's. He is good at playing basketball ,and he could go to the final games tomorrow afternoon. But his grandmother was sick, so he decided to absent the game. In the school, his friends was very excited. Because he was sure Mark come to today's game ,and their school get a winning cup. Therefore after they heard Mark will absent the game, Mark's friends and his girlfriend irritated with Mark. First I thought Mark is good boy and he is smart. But now I think he had to go to the match and play. Because not only his friends but also a teacher and his grandma looked forward to his success.
